Access to care continues to be a topic of concern for members and patients as they navigate through the healthcare system. Difficulties regarding being able to get appointments in a timely manner and seeing the providers they want or need to see are frequent comments received back by both health plans and health systems. The impact of these scenarios is evidenced by the CAHPS quality results in the Getting Needed Care and Getting Appointments and Care Quickly domains. Attend this session to learn how one health plan/health system significantly improved their access to care for members and patients in 1 year and has led to higher member and patient satisfaction scores.

Stacey has over 14 years of experience in healthcare quality management and data analytics and is a seasoned professional adept at driving strategic initiatives that enhance organizational performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Currently serving as Sr. Director, Quality & HEDIS/Stars, Stacey leads initiatives to improve HEDIS metrics and STAR Ratings while driving quality improvement across the organization. Previously, Stacey served as a Client Executive at Advantmed, where she managed key client relationships and provided expert consultation on HEDIS retrieval and abstraction strategies. Her expertise in navigating complex regulatory frameworks, such as HEDIS/CAHPS/HOS requirements and NCQA/CMS regulations, was pivotal in building strong client relationships, monitoring project progress, and ensuring successful project delivery aligned with client expectations. Stacey has held pivotal roles at leading healthcare organizations, including Molina Healthcare, MediGold, and United Healthcare, where she led transformative projects to improve STAR Ratings, HEDIS metrics, and CAHPS/HOS survey scores. As Director of HEDIS & Quality at MediGold, she achieved a significant increase in Star Ratings from 3.5 to 4 Stars for a Medicare Advantage Plan within a year, demonstrating her ability to implement targeted quality improvement initiatives. Her leadership extended to creating Value-Based Quality Agreements, driving provider engagement, and overseeing the in-house transition of HEDIS medical record review and audit processes. Stacey’s project management skills, combined with her Lean/Green Belt training, have enabled her to lead cross-functional teams in enhancing Medicaid, MyCare Ohio, and DSNP lines of business to improve STAR & HEDIS ratings. She is skilled at leveraging data analytics to inform decision-making and develop provider incentive programs that deliver measurable improvements. Recognized for her collaborative approach, stakeholder engagement, and commitment to excellence in healthcare quality management, Stacey continues to drive impactful change and deliver results in the dynamic landscape of healthcare quality and data analytics.
